Bogland

One of the most peaceful places on earth can be bogland. Seamus Heaney knew that. There are no people, houses or traffic - just nature. In October the heather is so colourful and the smell is so refreshing

Peaceful Landscape

Peaceful Landscape. At this time of year the heather is glowing with luminous colour and the views are a delight to behold. You just have to get out there and look - and it's free!

Castledawson

This has proved to be a popular design for a personal and original painting incorporating scenes, buildings and your home in a one-off composition.

Slieve Gallion seen from Desertmartin

This is a watercolour commission of Slieve Gallion seen from Desertmartin.
It's a difficult mountain to capture clearly as mist often envelops it even on a clear, fresh day. I had a number of disappointing visits to the spot before she revealed her glorious colours and unmistakable patterns to me.

"Walking Together in the Mournes"

This is an oil painting I did recently. It is called "Walking Together in the Mournes".
I love the receding blues you see in the Mournes, when you look across them.
A very peaceful place.
